Our new location is  in Macon's mill town known as Payne City.  The area was home to a cotton mill and to the workers who were employed there.  The mill is long gone, but the building has become home to several  artists and antiques dealers. We're located just across the street in what used to be one of the "mill houses".

Macon Mud is a working clay studio for artists Joan Hatcher and Kathy Murphy.  Most of our work is available through Middle Georgia Art Association or Macon Arts.

We often contract to make special commissions and are happy to meet with you to discuss a custom-made piece.  Since this is our  studio, we do not hold regular business hours, so please call ahead to make an appointment.

We do offer a few private classes during the week for  students who wish to learn to throw on the wheel or learn hand-building techniques.  Please contact Kathy for further information.  Lessons are by appointment. Times and spaces are limited.

We host an annual Holiday Sale held on the first weekend in December.  If you would like to be added to our mailing list, please send your name and address to claykat@windstream.net
